Oqra is an iPhone camera app built around the imaging characteristics of film photography. Shoot with ready-made presets, or adjust physical properties such as color, grain, halation, and tonal response to create a photographic style of your own. Every photo is developed on your device. PICK A LOOK. POINT AND SHOOT. Choose a recipe and compose with a live preview of its character in the viewfinder. Every shot comes out developed, with no separate editing step. MAKE LOOKS YOURS. Recipes can bring back the familiar colors of film or explore bolder colors and textures. They are tools for creating a look, not copies of specific film stocks. Start from a preset or build your own: shape color, grain, halation, and the response from shadows to highlights, or go deeper with individual emulsion layers, dye settings, and H&D response curves. In-app guides explain each control as you explore. SHARE THE RECIPE, NOT JUST THE PHOTO. Export a photo as a poster on white or black paper. Oqra Morse, the line of dots along its edge, carries the recipe, so anyone with Oqra can import the poster and shoot with the same look. Live Photos and Film Clips become moving posters.
